Playing the Streaks in Craps

How do we benefit from streaks while playing Craps? How do we get on board one of these red-hot streaks? Let's take a look.

Without question the biggest streaks that we see in craps are the shooter that runs off a long string of passes. These streaks probably don't happen as often as we think, but how many times have you gone through a casino and seen people screaming at a Craps table? What we don't know when we hear all the cheering is how long the winning streak is. It may have just started or the player may have already run off three or four straight passes. The question for us as a player is when to get on board the winning train. We can't predict streaks; we can only react when we see them occur. What we need to look for is a shooter that is hot, and that means looking for someone that has already run off at least three straight passes already. The problem we run into with these streaks is that we don't know if they are a true hot streak or not. We have to start somewhere though, and three has been a good starting point. We still will run into the inevitable miss on the next throw, but if we are going to get in on a huge run, then following after three straight is a pretty good place to start. When we talk about streaks we have to remember that most of the time these three straight pass streaks are going to end quickly just like all other streaks. We are just trying to get lucky and ride the big one when it comes along. If these huge streaks came along all the time then the casinos would be in trouble. The streaks don't come along as often as we would like, therefore, we have to be patient and prepared. If you want to win at craps then you should know the odds are against you, and finding something to keep you in the game until the big streak comes is a necessity.

The house edge in Craps is not huge, but it is there. Betting intelligently on the pass line with full odds can reduce that edge a great deal. The goal will be to still be in the game when the big streak comes. If you are at the table long enough eventually a big winning streak will happen. The problem for us is surviving long enough to take advantage of the streak when it comes along. The bet with the least house advantage is the pass line bet with full odds. This reduces the house edge to a very small amount and should keep us in the game so we are ready for the big streak. We should be prepared with a solid bankroll and good money management. We want to be around to catch that hot streak, not go broke before it occurs.
