Pimlico
Pimlico Race Track is located in Baltimore, Maryland and is most famous for hosting the Preakness Stakes. Pimlico officially opened in 1870 and the first Preakness was held in 1873.
The track is the second oldest in the nation only to Saratoga . The track was also the home for the famous match race in which Seabiscuit beat War Admiral. Pimlico race track has played host to several great legends in horse racing history. Among the legendary horses who have seen action in Pimlico race track are Seabiscuit, War Admiral, Man O' War, Sir Barton, Citation, Secretariat, Cigar and Silver Charm.
Pimlico typically has racing from March to June, July to August and from September to October.
